OH FAQ YEAH!

  • FusionPre-bonded keratin tipped hair extensions offer beautiful natural-looking results and causing no damage to your own hair when applied professionally and with good maintenance at home. Each bond is fused onto your hair using a hot fusion application to create a strong small bond that is virtually undetectable. With the right aftercare you can wear these for up to 4 months before safely & professionally removing them and having your next set, or chose to have new hair cycled in as a "fill" periodically as they ware.

  • Sew In Weft hair extensions are ideal for creating a curtain affect. No tape, glue or heat needed for this volume-enhancing look. Sew Ins are applied by using a looping tool, beads, nylon-based thread and a curved sewing needle. The weft attached to the foundation created using silicone beads. My favorite method, and also the least damaging with the most effect.

  • Sew In Hand-tied hair is referring to the individual hairs sewn onto a thread. Making them more lightweight than the Traditional Weft. No tape, glue or heat needed for this volume-enhancing look. Sew Ins are applied by using a looping tool, beads, nylon-based thread and a curved sewing needle. The weft attached to the foundation created using silicone beads. My favorite method, and also the least damaging with the most effect.

  • Mixed Extensions are not always "one size fits all" Often times what a client needs doesn't always fall under a specific category. It may be a combination of methods or an "outside of the box solution". These are common services provided regularly.

  • The newest trend and by far my favorite method, Which is why I teach it. Called by many names, Hand-tied Extensions, NBR, Invisible beaded rows, Habit hand-tied etc. They are all referring to the method of application no glue, tape or adhesives are involved making this the safest method for women looking to maximize their investment while nurturing their natural locks. This is the most seamless method that EVERYONE is asking about! I custom match your extensions to your “natural hair” or your “dream color” by using multiple tones to create beautiful dimension. The hair can last up to 9 months with proper care and maintenance and application time is less tedious than other methods. By far the most comfortable, seamless, and least damaging option for your natural hair. I have watched each clients natural hair become stronger, fuller + healthier over and over again.

  • They’re an investment + a luxury service. The price can range from $800-$2500 depending on what look you are trying to achieve, the length & how much hair you need. ⠀

  • The good news is you don’t have to worry about that. The hair used is based on you stylists preference and what they think will work best with your hair texture and density. The difference is the foundation in which the hair is attached. Hand-tied hair is individual strands of hair tied onto a single thread. It is thinner and can be stacked to create density and conceal beads. Machine wefts are machine made, not “hand-made” meaning there is a seam where the hair goes through a sewing machine created a sturdy weft which allows for more hair and less “stacking”.

  • The weft is each track of hair. Depending on which type of wefts you use (hand-tied vs. machine wefts) determines how many “rows” you will need based on density levels in the natural hair. One row is intended just for fullness. Two rows is for length and thickness. Some even need up to 5 rows if there is a drastic difference in the natural length compared to the extension length or if the client has extremely thick or coarse hair.

  • You will need to plan on getting them adjusted every 6-10 weeks. Your stylist will then gauge if your hair can handle going longer in between adjustments. Not every client can stretch in between adjustments. This could be due to your daily routines + habits, hair being fine, working out, daily activities, rough sleeper, not braiding at night, air drying and many other reasons. So don’t expect to go longer, but if we see that you can we will definitely see if longer in between appointments is better for your schedule. During maintenance appointments I remove all hair, color, wash + treat the natural hair along with the extensions themselves. Then re-apply. This process continues every 8-10 weeks until new hair is needed.

  • NO! Hair extensions should be an asset not a hinderance. When applied by a professional, extensions can be as low maintenance as you make them. Just be sure to tell you stylist all about you “daily activities or life” Extensions can be worn up, down half- up etc. You can go swimming and work out without worrying. There is no adhesives or glues making this the most realistic option for each and every “body”.

  • Maintenance starts at $200 per hour and can include color, blowdrying and styling. Typical maintenance appointments are between 1-3 hours. Sometimes additional color can take longer.

  • The extensions longevity is based on proper at home maintenance coupled with regular in salon maintenance. Extensions are known to last anywhere from 6 - 9 months. Some even a full year. Again this is all on how you treat them along with your daily activities of life.

  • • You must brush your hair DAILY using a boar bristle brush, sometimes 2-3 a day, and don’t miss the base where your weft lays closest to the scalp. That’s where most of your matting is going to occur and will be the most damaging if left un-cared for.

    • Never go to bed with wet hair

    • Always try to braid your hair or put in a low bun at night to prevent matting at the base of your extensions. Again, if the top is damaged the weft is no longer reusable.

    • Use lots of moisturizing/hydrating products (stay away from protein based or sulfate rich products).

Don’t over wash the extensions, if you’re an every day washer try washing the hair above your top weft so you don’t have to dry and style your extensions again, you just have to blow-dry your natural hair on top.

Use oils, serums + leave in condition on the ends of the extensions especially if you are going in a pool or ocean. This leaves an added layer of protection from the elements.
